There is more joy in giving than in receiving (2)

Day 2: Storing Treasures in Heaven

Jesus emphasizes the importance of storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth. Our hearts follow our money, meaning that what we invest in financially often captures our emotional and spiritual focus. By focusing on heavenly treasures, we free ourselves from the grip of fear and greed. This shift in focus allows us to invest in things that have eternal value, such as helping others and advancing God's kingdom. When we prioritize heavenly treasures, we align our lives with God's purposes and experience true freedom and joy. [33:10]

Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV): "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Reflection: Consider where you are currently investing your time, money, and energy. Are these investments aligned with storing treasures in heaven? What changes can you make to focus more on eternal values?
