Minister's Monday Moment - "That" room

Rev. Peter Benzie

I wonder how many of you are like me and have that room that you don't want people in? I suspect most of us do. It's the one that you keep private, maybe there's a lock on the door, its the one that maybe gets extra attention - or like me it gets less attention!

But what happens when someone has to come into that room? And what's more what if they are a complete stranger. And what if that room really isn't very presentable? That's the situation I find myself in as tradespeople need access to my roof space later in the week - through "that" room.

That room is now more presentable - it's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but it is in a state that I'm ok with people coming in to it.

Many have rooms that we don't want Jesus Christ to enter. We give our lives to him. We SAY we give him access to everything. BUT there is that one room which we keep locked because it's often the one we are most ashamed of.

Do you? Do you have "that" room which you have locked and don't want Jesus to enter and transform? If so, why not open the door now.

Blessings for a great week

Peter
