Rev. Peter Benzie

3 people

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, and 2 others beside it. 3 people, 3 crosses, 3 deaths, 2 who we know went to heaven and are enjoying life in eternity with God. (Luke 23:39-43).

I suggest God is up to something and I invite you to think about this

  • Our national council is concerned about the low numbers of new believers, of new people coming to faith, coming to a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ - through our churches

  • "Can I get a witness?" - an evangelical equipping series has been developed and made available by our national church.

  • The first email I see this morning is a sale on evangelism resources.

  • We just helped deliver 1,200 Hope booklets to our neighbours.

What does that say to you?

What is God saying to you?

Who are the 3 people who don't have a real, personal, faith relationship with God that you most want to see in heaven with you? Who are the 3 people who you want most to hear the good news that God loves them and wants a relationship with them - here on earth and for all eternity?

I invite you to think about who they are. They may come immediately to mind or you may need to pray about it and allow God to give you the names. When you have them I want you to

  • record them somewhere (somewhere where you will be reminded, somewhere that works for you).

  • pray regularly that God will bring the person(s) who he knows are the ones to speak with them (it may be you or it may be someone else)

  • pray regularly that they will have a receptive heart to the gospel.

  • pray regularly that they will accept God's invitation to the wonderful life that is the life in Christ - the life of the Christian.

  • and if you would like to - share the names with someone else so they can pray too.

Blessings

Peter

O and by the way you can pray for more than 3! :)
